Douro Valley Half Marathon – Running through vineyards, smiles, and postcard landscapes (English Version)
🇵🇹✨ Stunning views, emotional moments, and very tired legs — the Douro Valley Half Marathon (Meia Maratona do Douro Vinhateiro) delivered everything it promised!
A spectacular start on the dam, heat from the early morning, a packed course… but also great water stations, a shiny medal for the collection, and a well-deserved cold beer at the finish 🍺
🎉 Best part? I got to catch up with my friends from Porto Expats Runners — sharing race impressions over a well-earned lunch is always a highlight.
And as if the day wasn't full enough, I wrapped it up picking cherries with my favorite jam makers, Little-Potes 🍒
Their next batch of cherry preserves, syrup, and wine/Porto infusions is going to be amazing!
📍Have you ever run this race?
